Introduction

Welcome to the data repository for the CANON Spring 2015 experiment. This is a file storage location where you can share data files and get access to platform data during the experiment.

Organization

In general, the repository is organized into Platforms and Products. Platforms tends to be where we put all the platform related raw data and configuration files. If you process any products from the original data, we tend to put those in the Products directory. It is really up to the user on how to organize the files as it is just a file system underneath it all.

Get Data In

In order to get data into the ODSS repository, you can use FTP. You will want to FTP to the server odss.mbari.org (ask the ODSS team for the username and password) and cd to the 2015_May directory.

Get Data Out

1. Via FTP - Just as you did getting the data in via FTP (see above), you can get data out.
2. Via the ODSS - You can simply browse the data in the "Data" panel in the lower left hand corner of the ODSS itself. When you find something of interest, you can simply click on it to open it in a new window or download it.
3. Via HTTP - The files are also accessible over HTTP by browsing to http://odss.mbari.org/data/canon/2015_May/
4. Via THREDDS - You can get most of the platform data through our THREDDS Server located at http://odss.mbari.org/thredds/catalog/CANON/2015_May/catalog.html
